Our Home...and Yard!

This is our home in Sandy, UT. We love it...well Melina more so! We had the fun opportunity (not!) of tearing out the whole dead yard the first summer (05) and plant grass the next summer (06). This last summer (07) our grass was coming in nicely and we finally were able to buy a bunch of plants and trees to start filling up this large, hilly corner lot. We have a good size garden as well that produces great. The whole yard is now starting to look great this spring (08). As you can tell, this has been an long 3 year project for us. Thanks to all our family and neighbors for all the help, advice and service they provided to us!

Life Basics

Day by day life is full of adventures. Some long, some short, some will stay forever and some will slowly fade away. We hope to make the best of our lives, and always look for the positives in whatever comes our way, and take advantage of the opportunities life gives us.

To start...We got married on January 13, 2005, it was a perfect winter day. Spencer works as an Internet Consultant and Melina works as the office manager/lead litigation for an independent collections attorney. We love love love to travel and go on lots of adventures. We have been car camping and going on long hikes from the beginning and just started backpacking. We now have a website http://www.ruggedhiker.com/ where we are a dealer of backpacking products for Kelty and High Sierra. Spencer's passion is golf, and he dreams of that often! Melina is still into crafts, whatever that may include, using her creativity.

In the Beginning…

We finally jumped on the Blogging Bandwagon! Hello and welcome to our first blog posting to Adventure Maughan! We chose this as our blog name because we live a life that is full of adventures…both good and some not so good. So, if you are interested, you can return for some past and many upcoming highs and lows, peaks and valleys, home and afar adventures. We love taking picts and have loads of them, we'd love to share. We hope you enjoy in sharing our lives.
