Payson Lakes Camping

We organized a Payson Lakes Camping trip with a bunch of our friends last weekend.  It was SO fun.  We ended up with 4 camp sites, but crammed all 4 trailers and 2 tents into 2 sites so we'd all be there together.  Nice weather, great camp spot, fun friends and kids who mostly got along when they weren't trying to steal each other's toys, water fun with canoes, walks, yummy dinner & dessert, roaring campfire with lots of treats...definately a success.  Let's do it again next year with even more people!!!
This little boy loves his float toy
Little sneaky boys...found the snack box, grabbed what they would like, then took hiding under the tent trailer so it'd take us longer to catch them!  Silly.  We let them be to themselves and enjoy!
We hiked this trail called "The Grotto" about half way up Payson Canyon, which leads to this pretty waterfall.  Ryder insisted on walking the whole way himself.  It took us only 15 minutes to get to the waterfalls.  We definately recommend taking 45 min to do this hike if you are in the area!  It is a beautiful hike with trees shading the whole way ending at a fun destination.
Isn't he the cutest little thing.  Seriously!  My little boy is now 18 months old.  We are hopefully teaching him young to love hiking and the great outdoors!  Seeing him walk, can't you see he is just thinking, like we all do while hiking, clearing our head.  I LOVE my boys.

We just went camping there and hiked the Grotto trail a few weeks before you. It would have been fun to see you there :)
