First set of Clubs

Allstar turned one the other week. Wow, time just flew by! Spencer got him this present, his first set of Golf Clubs! I was actually very surprised, I had no idea. But Allstar loved them! He pulled out the clubs and walked around with them, then played with the golf balls. Spencer stood up behind him and they hit a couple balls together. It was so cute!

We had his 1 yr appt last week, here is how he is growing!

Weight: 19.67 lbs (8%)

Height: 29.21" (29%)

Head: 17.7" (12%)

He's still kind of little, but the doc says he's not worried, as he is very active and accomplishing a lot. Getting out the club, the driver, of course!
This one is so funny, it looks like he is 'Praising the Lord', so thankful he got clubs for his birthday!

Allstar has mastered the stairs, up and down. I don't worry about him anymore, and don't have to watch him around them. He is a mover, and won't sit still for more than a couple seconds. He always wants to go, play, touch, and make messes. He's walking here and there a little more everyday. He loves balls, and calls everything "ba-l". He'll also say mom and dad and babbles. He knows what a cow is, and he just Loves Kittly Jynx. He loves to "sing" in church when everyone else does, and when I run the blender. He is a great eater, we give him a wide variety of foods and he will eat anything. Oh, he just reminded me he is getting good at throwing little tantrums...what! I didn't know that started so early! However, we love this little boy so much, what a cute little thing he is. We're taking some family picts this weekend, can't wait to see how that goes.

Another Year Older...

Spencer darling turned #28 today. I surprised him at his office after lunch with some cupcakes and cookies, then took him away with me! (I had my sis post the below blog right before I surprised him at work). I took him to play 9 holes at Old Mill then we stuffed ourselves on dinner at Market Street Grill. We then had some of our friends come over for a little party with cheesecake and ice cream. Thanks friends, it was fun seeing you all! Happy birthday sugar, I hope you had a good one. Spencer's cubicle at work

The Flood!

Spencer went downstairs to put on his shoes and head to work on May 23rd at about 6:00 AM. He steps off the last stair downstairs and suddenly realizes that he is standing on a piece of WATER SOAKED carpet. Oh no! He walks into the storage room and there is about 1 and a half inches of water. Maybe it wasn’t as dramatic as Noah and the flood, but we definitely could have done without it. Our basement flooded, luckily it wasn’t too bad though, and we continue to learn about the joys of home ownership!

The water stayed mostly under the stairs and in the downstairs bathroom. We sucked it up as best we could (from 6:30 am to 11:30 am, ugh!), placed a bunch of fans all over, then went up to Spencer parent’s cabin for the weekend. We had to get out of that mess in our basement. While at the cabin, Spencer shot a beautiful 79 on the Mountain course at Wasatch Golf Course. The ladies went shopping and bought a ton of clothes. It was like Christmas! That was Memorial Weekend!
